Last week, our writing task was to write a short essay about the book "Wonder". We had to find 2-3 examples about 1st person.
This story is written in the first person because at the start of the story when August is introducing himself he says,
“I know I’m not an ordinary ten-year-old kid.”
Firstly, Palacio uses first person point of the view in the chapter ’Christopher’s House’. For example,
”I was really bummed when Christopher moved away three years ago.”

Furthermore, we can see how first person has been used in when Mum is telling the story about how I was born. For example,
“I like when Mom tells this story because it make me laugh so much.”
So ‘Wonder’ is written in the first person point of view.

ReplyDeleteJorja: This is an excellent short essay wherein you have used examples from the text to support your assertions and conclusions. This is a superb skill to develop as it shows your audience that you have thought about what you have read and what you have written.
