My NZ Artist

I chose my artist because he has cool and colourful artwork. I think it is important for kids to learn about colours and which colours match. We need to look at Artist's and learn like they do. I feel excited when I look at Art I like, so Artist's are good for people and how they feel. 

Children shouldn't have homework!

I chose 'Children shouldn't have homework' because I dislike homework so I think it is a cool topic to sign. I hope Miss Blair will never give me homework again.

One thing I did well is look at my audience while I was signing. If I did it again I would practice more signing.

Writing a Quality Blog Comment

Digi Award Competition :)

I entered the Digi Award competition. There were five categories. I chose Digi Art. I had to think

of who my everyday hero was and then get photos. I made a Pic Collage of photos showing my mum as my HERO. Getting the perfect photos was challenging. I learnt to add coloured borders  and using the right template. Next time I would do it with my friend and do an iMovie.

Yaldhurst School Fun Day Skiing

Last week, on Friday 28th we went to the fun ski day. I was with Katie for the whole day and we shared food. When we were halfway, the bus couldn't go up so we had a long wait, then 2 other buses came and picked us up.Then when we arrived at Mt Hutt, Katie and I did the small ski slide called the Magic Carpet for one time then we went to the big ski slope but Katie and I planned that we go on the small ski slope 10 times.


I had really hurt my legs! I always fell when I was skiing! We had lots fun at Mt Hutt.Then Katie and I raced and nobody lost or won - just drew. I learnt how to ski in big ski slide. We had no injuries luckily but Catie hurt her ankle.

I can't wait for what happens for next year's ski trip and I'm not sure next year if I will do snowboarding or skiing?

Manual Term 3

Yesterday, on Thursday 23rd July, we returned to our third term of Manual at Lincoln Primary. This term I am in Food Technology and my teacher is Mrs Scott. First we made toastie cups made from spaghetti, ham and cheese. After break we made gingerbread biscuits. I made 12 gingerbread biscuits. We had lots of fun.

Update for Genius Hour

In the middle of the school hoildays Mrs Royfee helped me find out about Disneyland stuff! This is what we found out; Disneyland has been opened for 60 years on the 17th July 2015 Friday. I have also decided to keep all my information in a Google Slide because that's how I will be presenting it and it is easy for me to be organised in this way.

One day, mum, dad and I went to the playground with my best friend. My name is Lemon and my best friends name is Hope. Suddenly, Lemon and Hope saw the huge blue lemon, they wanted to eat the huge blue lemon. “Do you want one bite first?”asked Hope. “No I don't want to eat it, I want both of us to eat it at the same time” said Lemon. “Okay” whispered Hope.

Hope pushed Lemon in the lemon but it made my tongue tingle! It was super sour. “Can you push me in the lemon” asked  Hope excitedly.

One day, Lucy went to Sumner beach with her husband, it was such beautiful weather. Gru and her saw something huge blue box and Gru and she run to the blue box. Gru and she smell banana, Gru and she heard lagha and She want open blue box so bad. Next day, She got fitness at sumner beach she saw the blue box again so as she lifted the lid the box. She saw the millon minions and she get blue box to truck to Gru's house and gave the millon minions. Gru have three girls.

One day, Dad and his twin girls went to sea for fishing.  Then his daughter said this old boat is so ugly. The girls ask dad "Where we going?" We went to catch fish. Suddenly we saw the weather was so terrible. But the ferocious wind was coming out to sea and the twins yelled so loud "Look out!" The wave was so huge and the water splashed over the boat and dad and the twins was cried out. The boat sunk and they all died. Their Mum was on land and saw it happen. She will never forget them.

This term I have been a healthy individual by running in the morning at school. On Friday the class have the Beep Test, which is when we start running back to specific lines on our school court and they are then counted as you run. My highest number of runs is 61. 

I eat a healthy breakfast of four Weet-bix with warm milk. 

I also eat healthy lunches of jam sandwiches and fruit.

When I ride my bike I always wear a helmet.  

I have really terrible sleep so I am going to read a nice book just before I close my eyes.

When I go in the car, I always wear my seat belt for safety.
