100 Word Challenge

One peaceful morning, I was walking to the supermarket then when I got back from supermarket I walked up the wrong stairway and it feel like I took an hour to get to the top. I just think in my head myself "Should I go back down or up?" So I just keep walking up! One and half hours later I finally arrive at the top and I saw a girl sitting on a gold bench and I ask her if she was okay and she said "Yep I okay. So we just talked, her name is Sofia and my name is Zara.  Now we are best friend!

“Hanmer Spring”

On the 24th of April, Tracey, Billie, Lucy and I went to Hanmer Springs for one night. When we arrived at Hanmer Spring we went looking for house to stay. We just unpack in the house then Lucy and I just did fun gymnastic! When it was 40 minutes later, we went for a hike and we have food to eat on the top the hill! Then we walked back and I saw Shukoor and Parwin. We just walked to the house. Lucy was feeling sick and Billie had a sore back from falling on the floor. We went to sleep at about 9:30pm.

The next day, we went to Hanmer Springs swimming pool at about 9:00am then we had to wait till 10:00am for the swimming pool to open!  First thing I did was go to the kids swimming pool thing then Lucy and I went on the Superbowl. We got a figure 8 tube to hold  and when we are at the top the water wouldn’t go so we had to walk down then we went to the 30 degree pool. We stayed at the pools for 4 hours.

Later on we all drove back to Christchurch. I was dropped off at Dad’s home. I enjoyed Hanmer Springs.

In Rimu class, we have been making iMovies about 10 Top Way of Caring for your Chromebook. We have been learing about this as school have purchased Chromebook for students. We need to look after these because if we don't look after the chromebooks then they will be damged .

I am profoundly Deaf and use NZSL communicate. I would like to show others sign that will help communicate with other deaf people. At my school we do Sign of the Week and share it in assembly each week.

2 or 3 weeks ago, Rimu made very yummy food for Meet the teacher with William Pike and Parents.

William Pike has a really cool story about his life! I was really looking forward to the surfing and I loved it. I think I might take up swimming and gym tumbling.

First Person Point of View

Last week, our writing task was to write a short essay about the book "Wonder". We had to find 2-3 examples about 1st person.

This story is written in the first person because at the start of the story when August is introducing himself he says,

“I know I’m not an ordinary ten-year-old kid.”

Firstly, Palacio uses first person point of the view in the chapter ’Christopher’s House’. For example, 

”I was really bummed when Christopher moved away three years ago.”

This story is written in the first person because at the start of the story when August is introducing himself he says,

“I know I’m not an ordinary ten-year-old kid.”

Furthermore, we can see how first person has been used in when Mum is telling the story about how I was born. For example,

“I like when Mom tells this story because it make me laugh so much.”

So ‘Wonder’ is written in the first person point of view.
